Gallery lists for Frieze London and Frieze Masters, part of October edition of Frieze Viewing Rooms, released

Usually, at this point in the year, London would be prepping for one of the highlights of the art world: Frieze Week. However, like much of 2020, a typical Frieze Week, can’t go ahead, so instead, preparations are being made for the second edition of the Frieze Viewing Rooms, which will take place between October 9^th and 16^th.

Frieze London and Frieze Masters, mainstays of the art fair scene, will become the second iteration of Frieze Viewing Rooms, which was launched earlier this year for Frieze New York. More than 250 international galleries will come together digitally allowing for curated gallery sections alongside Viewing Room updates including online chat features, social media integration, and new virtual spaces.

London’s Frieze Week, though, will be a hybrid fair as alongside the online portions will be Frieze Sculpture, that will still call Regent’s Park home during the Autumn, artists talks, and museum shows spread throughout London honouring the fair’s “commitment to the creative spirit of London.”

Curated sections of the fair will highlight facets of the art scene including: “Focus” dedicated to supporting galleries that are 15 years old or younger and young talent; “Possessions” curated by Zoé Whitley centering on the spiritual prowess of art today; and “Spotlight,” which will present pioneering artist of the 20^th century curated by Laura Hoptman.
